We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance & Janitorial Assistant to ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.  This energetic role involves performing a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of sanitation, safety, and appearance across our campus.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment, possess strong cleaning skills, and adhere strictly to safety protocols.  This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in facility upkeep.

Responsibilities:

·         Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, floor buffing, and floor care to maintain a polished and hygienic environment.

·         Operate cleaning machinery like floor buffers and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.

·         Manage chemical handling safety procedures, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal of cleaning agents in compliance with safety protocols.

·         Assist with general facilities maintenance including light repairs, painting, mowing, landscape maintenance, and seasonal show and ice removal.

·         Ability to perform manual handling tasks including moderate lifting while following safe lifting practices.

·         Strong customer service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

·         Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or painting a plus.

·         We will provide training where needed.
