Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN GI Lab for a travel nursing job in Highland Park, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: GI Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/09/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) professionals are sought in Highland Park, Illinois. This position involves assisting physicians during gastrointestinal and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced environment. The role requires flexibility to start between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with a schedule of 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week. Job Details: Schedule: 8-hour days, flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with 36-40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license, CPR certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Epic electronic health record experience, active IL license, CPR, ACLS, and high proficiency in EKG interpretation (must pass EKG test with 80% or higher). Two or more years of GI Lab, Endoscopy, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Tele (TeleAdmission) experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GI procedures, preoperative and postoperative care, working with Olympus scopes, and familiarity with endoscopy supplies from well-known manufacturers. Additional Information: The role involves assisting with approximately 30-60 cases daily, utilizing Olympus scopes and various endoscopy supplies. Epic electronic health record system experience is essential; no more than 7 days off permitted. The position may require floating to nearby facilities in Skokie, Evanston, or Glenbrook. No weekend or holiday shifts are scheduled; holidays are observed with no guaranteed hours.
