Product Development Engineer

Our customer in Adams County, IN is looking for a hands-on Product Development Engineer to support the design and improvement of industrial mechanical products used in manufacturing and automation environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve industrial mechanical products and assemblies
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
- Work closely with machining, manufacturing, and suppliers to improve product quality and manufacturability
- Support costing, quoting, testing, and continuous improvement projects
- Assist with hands-on troubleshooting, prototype builds, and production support activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining/manufacturing processes
- Experience supporting product development, engineering changes, costing, or quoting
- Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, or other heavy mechanical systems is a plus
