Building Automation Engineer (Part-Time)

Overview Valiant is looking for a Building Automation Engineer (Part-Time) to join our team! In this role you will work on the Maintenance Team to ensure the proper function of the complex building automation system. You will playa major role in executing Work Orders and preventive Maintenance tasks, ordering of components, and jobsite coordination with technicians and sub-contractors. Responsibilities This is a part-time/weekend position. Leads, directs, and teaches BAS system operators with solutions to systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advise others on how to resolve problems Diagnose and repair routine electronic control system malfunctions. Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards. Report problems or changes to management immediately. Other duties as assigned. Compensation: $44.88/hour - $46.22 (Depending on shift) and H&W is $5.00/hour. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred. Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill. Familiarity with Johnson Controls Metasys and or Schneider Electric Controls or equivalent platforms and understanding of control programming and graphics for control systems. Knowledge and understanding of various communications protocols used in the industry including BACnet and Modbus. Familiarity with energy management systems, HVAC systems, and temperature controls, and related/integrated systems. Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook). Physical Requirements Physicalrequirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
