We're partnering with an early stage startup that is building the trust infrastructure layer for the AI economy. Starting in audit and accounting-high-trust environments where accuracy, security, and reliability are critical-their platform enables firms to automate complex workflows and deploy AI safely while maintaining strict professional standards. They are assembling a world-class, AI-native engineering team focused on building reliable, scalable systems from the ground up.

The Role

This is the first infrastructure hire - a Head of Infrastructure who will own and build the company's infrastructure, security, and compliance foundation. You will operate as a hands-on, single-threaded owner initially, working closely with engineering and product as the platform scales. This role is critical to enabling enterprise growth by ensuring the company meets the highest standards for security, reliability, and compliance.

What You\'ll Do

• Own and architect the cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
• Build and scale CI/CD pipelines, environments, and deployment systems
• Establish security best practices (IAM, access controls, secrets management)
• Lead compliance readiness efforts (e.g., SOC 2)
• Own the customer security review process and support enterprise onboarding
• Implement monitoring, observability, and incident response systems
• Partner with engineering to improve reliability, scalability, and performance
• Define infrastructure standards and operational processes
• Serve as the sole infrastructure owner, with opportunity to build a team over time

Who You Are

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
• Experience owning production infrastructure end-to-end, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong expertise with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Hands-on with Terraform (or IaC), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD systems
• Proven ownership of monitoring, reliability, and incident response
• Strong understanding of security, IAM, and infrastructure best practices
• Experience supporting enterprise security reviews and/or compliance processes
• Comfortable operating as a hands-on IC leader
• Strong communicator across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams

Bonus

• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks
• Background in fintech, healthcare, or other regulated environments
• Experience as a founding or early infrastructure hire (0→1)
• Experience supporting AI-native or data-sensitive products
• Prior experience building or scaling infrastructure teams
