Experienced Clinical Nurse - IMU

The Experienced Clinical Nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center manages patient outcomes by providing, coordinating and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care across the continuum of care. They impact quality of patient care, patient outcomes and use of resources in a designated area in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, an RN license and at least twelve months of recent RN experience in medical/surgical or an acute care setting. The candidate must be available to work the Day/Evening shift (7am - 7pm), with rotating weekends and holidays required. G22 IMU is a specialized intermediate care unit providing advanced monitoring and treatment for oncology patients who require a higher level of care than a general medical unit but do not need intensive care. Nurses on this unit manage complex therapies, monitor for complications, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families. Trains, coaches, and supports team members to ensure optimal patient care and the efficient use of resources.

EDUCATION

Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing. Work Experience Required: None
