Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your Challenge:Act as Technical Lead on the design and development of mechanical components and systems, including creating prototypes and conducting testing to ensure reliability and safetyPerform calculations for and apply ASME Code to design and analysis of qualified nuclear sensors/instrumentation.Having knowledge/understanding of Nuclear commercial grade dedication (CDG) principles and application methodsFamiliarity with Nuclear quality regulations such as 10CFR50, Appendix B, NQA-1, and 10CFR, Part 21.Dependent on project scope, participate in a multi-disciplined engineering team reporting to the Project Manager and working with the clients.Develop design deliverables of a high standard and compliant with relevant standards, regulations and customer specific standards, such as Design Proposal Drawings, detailed design documents, manufacturing BOMs and procedures. Checking and Approval of scoping and FEA calculations.Prepare technical presentations and written communications for customers and management.Work in partnership with Sales to write commercial proposals and prepare cost estimates.Manage resolutions to technical issues and ensure necessary change control is implemented and address commercial impacts.Develop estimates, define deliverables, clarify scope/exclusions logic at bid / tender stages.Provide technical expertise and guidance to other engineers and team members.Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and techniques related to mechanical engineering and actively incorporate them into the design and development processWhat You Bring:Must be a U.S. CitizenMinimum 5+ years applicable experience in an industry roleBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentUnderstand and interpret design documents including drawings and calculation summariesExcellent technical skills, with a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practicesStrong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutionsGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Proficiency in SOLIDWORKSDesired:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the USThe role may involve travel to customers or other sites within the USExperience using Syteline or similar ERP systemKnowledge and experience complying with nuclear, aerospace and commercial quality systems (NQA-1, RCCE/RCCM, AS9100, IS900X, etc.)Who We AreCurtiss Wright Round Rock is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
