About the Position

Job Title: CT Scan Tech Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1 year preferred; 6 months Level 1 trauma required License: South Carolina license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT RT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT) Must-Have: - Siemens experience - Level 1 Trauma experience Description: Agency must supply radiation badge. Must start at the end of September. Daily caseload per tech is approximately 6 per hour. Will work three 12-hour night shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On-call rotation is required with staff. May also be required to float to interventional radiology as needed. Clinician is expected to float within the scope to meet facility needs. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, but first-timers with previous experience will be considered. Clienttion badge must be provided by the agency. Facility can call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Ensure compliance with RTO guidelines; all requests for time off must be included in submissions. Must have experience with various CT procedures, including cardiac exams. Daily caseload is approximately 60 exams, mostly cardiac. Siemens equipment experience is preferred, specifically Siemens Naeotom Alpha Photon counting and Siemens X.Cite. Preferred special procedures experience includes biopsies, drainages, and vascular studies. Hurricane season runs from June through November; travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time. All laboratory requirements must be completed within the specified timeframes prior to starting. Modules are non-billable and will take an average of four hours to complete. Completion of pre-start modules is necessary for compliance.
