Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on the Oncology Care Unit, focusing on surgical and medical oncology patients. Candidates are required to bring their Wisconsin RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2+ years of experience, oncology experience required, associate degree or certificate; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience on a Medical Surgical Oncology (MSO) unit.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other areas and within scope, can float in 4-hour blocks, and will float before staff RNs.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily handles surgical and medical oncology patients, with patient ratios generally ranging from 4:1 to 7:1 during night shifts. The nurse will work in a MedSurg Oncology unit utilizing Epic electronic medical record system, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps.
