Role Description This is a hire by event gig. We need an on-site Photographer role based at University of Tampa, FL for June 6 5-8 pm. The Photographer will plan and execute photo shoots for the event and behind-the-scenes content. Responsibilities include setting up lighting and equipment, capturing high-quality images, and collaborating with creative, marketing, and production teams to align visuals with project goals. The role also includes editing and retouching photos, organizing and archiving digital assets, and preparing files for web, social media, and print use. The Photographer will maintain their equipment, scout locations, and ensure that all shoots are conducted safely, on schedule, and in line with brand guidelines. Qualifications Strong technical photography skills, including experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, and studio/on-location lighting. Proficiency in photo editing and post-production tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software). Ability to collaborate with creative, marketing, and production teams to interpret briefs and translate concepts into compelling images. Excellent organizational skills, including file management, image tagging, and maintaining a well-structured digital archive. Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple shoots, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working on-site at events, sets, and various locations, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to consistent, high-quality visual storytelling. Knowledge of basic video capture or familiarity with social-media-first content creation is a plus.
