POSITION: In-House Legal Counsel

LOCATION: Manhattan, NY

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide legal support and guidance to the loan department on commercial and real estate lending matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related contracts.
• Prepare loan documentation for C&I and CRE loans using the LaserPro system.
• Support and manage the bank’s loan closing process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory changes impacting the bank’s operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel and assist in managing litigation and legal matters.

REQUIREMENTS

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in a commercial banking or financial services environment.
• Active admission to a state bar and in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication, along with solid interpersonal skills.
