Establishes managerial climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collegial collaboration among all team members. Encourages and promotes innovation. Exercises necessary, appropriate authority and accountability for the assigned areas of the facility, including quality of care and cost-effective services. Maintains effective employees, medical staff, and Board relationships. The incumbent has authority to ensure smooth and effective operations and quality of patient care of assigned areas. The incumbent hires, disciplines, and conducts performance reviews and recommends merit increases for subordinate personnel. The position reviews and approves budget requests in accordance with financial systems. The incumbent initiates or approves any needed major policy or program initiatives within the area of responsibility. Within the approved operating and capital budgets, the incumbent has the authority to initiate changes as needed.Job Description:Education:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field required.Masters’ in healthcare administration (MHA), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Master’s in Public Health (MPH), or a related advanced degree preferred.Experience:Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in healthcare operations management, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles.Proven track record in managing operational functions within a healthcare organization, including hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare facilities.Experience working in a non-profit healthcare environment is highly desirable.Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector.Experience managing multiple sites or facilities within a healthcare network.Demonstrated success in standardizing operations and ensuring consistency across different locations.Knowledge:Thorough understanding of the California managed care and health care industries including the regulatory environments under which they operate.Understanding of the regulatory environment of a non-profit organization.Strong organization, supervisory and analytical skills necessary to manage the day-to-day affairs of the division.An accomplished executive with superior management skills and a successful track record of leading organizational change in complex environments.Skills: A strong commitment to the health plan’s mission, the people, and the community.A strategic thinker and tactical executor who can move an agenda from concept to reality and drives results and organizational improvement through performance outcomes.Job Shift:DaysSchedule:Full TimeDays of the Week:Monday - FridayWeekend Requirements:As NeededBenefits:YesUnions:NoPosition Status:ExemptWeekly Hours:40Employee Status:RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $297,500.00 to $402,500.00 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
