Position Overview

Gillam Lawncare & Landscaping is seeking a dependable and organized Production Yard Coordinator to oversee the daily cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of our production yard and facilities. This position plays a key role in supporting field crews, maintaining inventory and materials, assisting with equipment maintenance, and ensuring the yard remains safe, efficient, and well organized.

This is a hands-on position requiring initiative, accountability, and the ability to safely operate a variety of equipment and vehicles. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break, though flexibility may be required based on seasonal demands and workload.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production yard, barns, storage areas, and facilities
• Ensure crews return tools, equipment, and materials to proper storage locations daily
• Receive and organize deliveries including plant material, hardscape supplies, tools, and bulk materials
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to management
• Maintain dumpster areas, remove debris, and keep facilities safe and clean
• Assist with preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment and vehicles
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment, tools, and materials
• Operate dump trucks, trailers, skid steers, excavators, chainsaws, weedeaters, and other equipment safely
• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and supplies to job sites and vendors
• Assist production crews with landscaping and snow operations as needed
• Participate in winter snow removal operations and remain available during snow events
• Utilize company software for time tracking and job progress updates
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Experience in landscaping, construction, equipment operation, or related field preferred
