You’ll be at the forefront of shaping our Power & Renewables strategy—bringing insights, influencing portfolio direction, and driving profitable growth.This role offers an incredible market-facing opportunity to strengthen and expand key broker and client relationships across the U.S., positioning Zurich as a partner of choice in the energy transition. You will lead from the front—combining underwriting excellence, commercial acumen, and relationship-building to deliver differentiated outcomes.If you’re motivated by impact, collaboration, and the chance to shape a growing portfolio, we welcome your application.In this role, you will:Manage a prominent & bespoke book of business, including g. cost and loss sensitive risksDrive new business growth through focused risk selection and strategyDevelop & maintain productive external relationships with key brokers & clients in the industryCollaborate with Risk Engineering & Claims to anticipate the unique needs of Power & Renewable energy risksDevelop, expand, and enhance broker and client relationships through intentional visibility and frequent engagementBuild for the future through fostering team development, talent upskillingNegotiate and place facultative reinsurance when applicableCollaborate with other Zurich units where appropriate to deliver a holistic customer insurance solutionAdminister and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and 9 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area. ORBachelors Degree and 18 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaANDExperience in a specialized insurance line of business or segmentPreferred Qualifications:CPCUAdvanced knowledge and practice of lines of businessStrong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelinesAbility to effectively assess riskAbility to work in a team-based environmentStrong presentation skillsYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $175,000.00 - $280,000.00, with Global Specialty Incentive Plan bonus eligibility set at 50%.We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for employees and their families.
