Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Plainfield, Illinois Pay: $50–$60 per hour (depending on experience) Position Type: Full-Time, Contract School Year: 2026–2027 Help Students Find Their Voice SchoolHouse Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our outstanding school district partners in Plainfield, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that support student growth and academic achievement. Responsibilities Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals. Provide direct speech‑language therapy services in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility, goal development, and progress reporting. Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed. Promote functional communication skills that support academic, social, and emotional development. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech‑Language Pathologist endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure. Illinois Speech‑Language Pathology License (if applicable). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if district eligible. Previous school‑based experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Compensation & Benefits $50–$60 per hour, based on experience.
