Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Overview
Registered Nurse, OR-travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start on 06/21/2026 for a 13-week assignment with a 5x8 Day shift in a hospital operating room setting. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR, including circulating and/or scrubbing duties; maintain sterile technique and assist with case preparation.
- Assist with DaVinci robotic cases and complex procedures (e.g., large head & neck, neuro spine, ex-lap) as part of the surgical team.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, administer medications as ordered, manage equipment, and document events and counts accurately.
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety, proper positioning, hemodynamic stability, and readiness for evolving intraoperative events.
- Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and implants; ensure proper specimen handling and adherence to infection-control protocols.
- Float to all OR areas as needed and participate in on-call coverage; respond to intraoperative emergencies and assist with post-anesthesia handoff.

Requirements
- Current Kansas RN license (active)
- AHA BLS certification
- 2+ years OR experience; level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred; solid scrub experience
- Experience withDaVinci robot cases; comfort with large head and neck, neuro spine, and ex-lap procedures
- Ability to work 5x8 day shift; willing to float to all OR areas
- No new graduate applicants encouraged
- On-call availability required, up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract; holiday coverage as scheduled
- Orientation: new hire orientation scheduled in the first week (Mon-Tues for new employee orientation; Wed-Fri for nursing orientation; offered weekly in the summer)
