Globaltech, Inc. is a design-build company of engineers and contractors that serves primarily municipal water and wastewater utilities. Our main office is located in Boca Raton, Florida. We are currently seeking dynamic, team-oriented individuals to play key roles in our growing South Florida firm. Globaltech, Inc. is seeking a motivated full time CAD Designer to join our team. The CAD Designer will join a multidiscipline group of dedicated design-build professionals to round out our engineering service capabilities in the municipal water and wastewater facilities market.
Job duties
- Incorporate engineer’s redlines. Prepare mechanical, civil, and electrical sketches, plans, sections, and details.
- Ensure drawings are in compliance with company and client’ standards.
- Use CAD software to create, edit, modify detailed 2D and #D drawings for projects
- Responsible for maintaining file directories and archiving CAD drawings
- Upload drawings to Procore (Project Management Software)
- Collaborate with project team(s) and follow through with completing assignments on schedule
Requirements
- 3-4 CAD drafter experience required
- 3-4 years of experience in Process mechanical design or piping design. Water/Wastewater utilities design preferred
- Revit experienced preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret surveys and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with Florida engineering standards for the design of water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, and water distribution systems.
- Knowledge of sanitary collection systems and drainage systems a plus
- Strong knowledge of xrefs/attachments, drawing blocks and cell libraries.
- Ability to work in AutoCAD with minimum technical support.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-hire drug test
- Possess a valid Florida Driver License and able to pass a motor vehicle record search
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
