Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a busy OR department. The ideal candidate will have a strong OR background, EPIC system experience, and flexibility for on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately within EPIC electronic health records.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Assist with setup, equipment, and room turnover between surgical cases.
• Be available for on-call shifts, including one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience in a busy surgical department.
• Proven EPIC electronic health record system proficiency.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to case load fluctuations.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours from 0645 to 1515, with potential for extended shifts.
