Associate Clinical Research Coordinator – Sheikh Lab This time‑limited position (3years) will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease. The coordinator will execute clinical research protocols and lead efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of studies. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience, from an accredited institution. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Ability to use considerable judgment and skills in performing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis to complete assignments independently. Knowledge of IRB submissions, renewals, and modifications. Ability to organize, collect, record, and present data within defined research parameters. Ability to ensure quality control and summarize collected data. Ability to exchange research information with the PI and others through conversation, instruction, and demonstration. Concise communication (verbal and written) regarding study patient care. General knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Knowledge of general principles of clinical research coordination. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Well organized with good time‑management skills. Personable and possessing good people skills. Previous experience with UNC, IRB, and EPIC is preferred. Ability to contribute to the preparation of publications, reports, and presentations of compiled study results.
