About the Position

Job Title: RN Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have: BLS required ACLS required 2+ years of hospital experience required Description: The registered nurse is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of this responsibility include the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both recipients and providers of nursing care. Acquisition of specialized knowledge and skills, along with additional formal education, is necessary to provide specialized care. Demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice is essential. Clinical practice should be consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of this facility. Supervision of other staff as designated within the department is a requirement. Candidates must be competent in areas such as patience experience, AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery steps. Dress code includes scrubs in designated colors with proper embroidery. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails without artificial enhancements. Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Beards and mustaches should be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings, other than ears, are prohibited. Floating guidelines and attendance policies will be followed.
