This laid-back, counter-service caf is a guest favorite for polishing off spa days with fresh, all-natural meals from fruit smoothies and poke bowls to whole wheat flatbreads and "build your own" salads. Desert Mountain Club offers a higher, flat-dollar wage structure for all hourly Food & Beverage positions, replacing the previous gratuity-based wage structure. Servers start at $23 per hour or more, depending on experience. This guaranteed year-round wage is based on hours worked and does not fluctuate based on business levels or seasonality. Team members also have opportunities to increase their pay and advance their careers through annual merit increases and our career ladder, with multiple levels within each position based on performance, skills, and knowledge (e.g., Server 1, Server 2, etc.).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and carryout in the caf and at the pools. This includes maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of menu items, executing service from greeting the guest to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is highly preferred. Prior high-end club or resort experience preferred.

Primary shifts are within the hours of (6:30am - 3:30pm), periodically may be required to work later dinner shifts for special events.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Greet members and their guests with a warm and professional welcome.
• Direct members through the ordering and seating process.
• Present menus, suggest dishes utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and assist in beverage selection and service.
• Stay updated on current menu items and specials.
• Communicate specific customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and modifications to the culinary team.
• Enter all orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Carry food by tray from restaurant to tables and pool deck.
• Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurants and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
• Maintain clean service areas, professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist other team members and fellow servers, as needed.
• Carry food by tray from restaurant to tables and pool deck.
• Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurant and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather Occasionally
• Required to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Required to be on feet for long periods of time.
