AP Specialist

A growing medical device company in Carlsbad is adding an Accounts Payable Specialist to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable owning the AP process while working closely with vendors, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting leadership.The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys solving invoice discrepancies, and can keep a high volume of transactions moving without sacrificing accuracy.ResponsibilitiesProcess high-volume vendor invoices from receipt through paymentReview invoices for appropriate coding, approvals, and supporting documentationMatch invoices against purchase orders and receiving recordsMaintain accurate vendor records and payment informationReconcile vendor statements and research outstanding itemsPrepare weekly ACH, check, and wire payment batchesCommunicate with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and discrepanciesAssist with month-end AP accruals and reconciliationsSupport 1099 preparation and year-end AP activitiesAssist with audit requests and accounting projects
