Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Employment Type: Contract / Per diem (depending on assignment specifics)
Licenses/Certifications: Virginia Medical License, Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred)
Experience: Prior hospice or palliative care experience preferred

What You'll Do
- Provide specialized hospice and palliative care to patients in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Support residents and families through compassionate communication
- Document medical assessments, treatments, and progress notes accurately
- Participate in precepting residents and medical staff when available
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards of practice
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
What You Need
- Valid Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred)
- Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
