Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours/Week: 40 hours

Employment Type: Contract / Per diem (depending on assignment specifics)

Licenses/Certifications: Virginia Medical License, Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred)

Experience: Prior hospice or palliative care experience preferred

What You'll Do

  • Provide specialized hospice and palliative care to patients in accordance with facility protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Support residents and families through compassionate communication
  • Document medical assessments, treatments, and progress notes accurately
  • Participate in precepting residents and medical staff when available
  • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards of practice
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

What You Need

  • Valid Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred)
  • Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
