We offer a dynamic and stimulating work culture, as employees are part of a greater team and purpose that collaborates with different departments, brands and business units.JOB SUMMARYThe Sr Manager of Procurement - Visual Merchandising (VM) is responsible for overseeing the development of visual merchandising units and displays, serving as the single point of contact to VM vendors on behalf of both global and regional brands. The Sr Manager must partner with VM Design to ensure display engineering is consistent with design intent while optimizing functionality and cost, and work closely with VM Project Management to ensure on-time delivery. They must also help to develop and create merchandising strategies that support the goals and business objectives for Retail Channels within the Americas region across all BrandsWHAT YOU WILL DOYou will manage development of visual merchandising units and displays, serving as primary point of contact with vendors on behalf of brand and shared VM Design teamsYou will lead and develop a team of two Senior BuyersYou will discuss feasibility (materials, layouts, costs) of display designs with vendorsYou will partner with VM Design teams to address issues and provide alternatives to reduce cost and enhance functionalityYou will obtain bids and negotiate cost for individual projectsYou will identify, lead, and drive strategic projects for the VM category to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, and improve qualityYou will coordinate the process for reviewing and approving engineering drawings to ensure consistency with design intentTest and approve prototypesPlace purchase ordersTrack production progressYou will monitor display breakage / maintenance requests to identify functionality issuesYou will drive merchandising innovation by monitoring competitive merchandising activity, attending trade shows, and networking with new and existing vendors to keep abreast of industry trends/newnessYou will partner with VM Project Management to ensure on-time delivery against brand briefsYou will support the visual merchandising process for Retail environments including Sephora, Ulta, Macys, etc. Department StoresWHO YOU AREYou have a bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Design, and/or EngineeringYou have a minimum 6 years of experience in Visual Merchandising with strong technical knowledge of display engineering and manufacturingYou have experience in prestige beauty across multiple channels (department store, open sell, boutique)You have experience with purchasing and negotiationsYou are highly driven and energetic; proactive; takes initiativeYou have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detailYou have strong communication (written, oral, presentation) and interpersonal skills; able to build effective relationships with multiple brand stakeholders and cross-functional partners You have strong leadership skills; team spirited; able to guide and develop team membersYou have strong organizational, project management and time management skills; process-orientedYou can prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentYou are proficient in all PC/Office/MAC applications, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAPYou are willing to travelIf this sounds like you, we want you on our team. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience.
