Job Title: Territory Sales Representative - Oconee & Sinclair Market Position Type: Full-Time Work Location: Oconee Office | Eatonton, GA Job Overview: The Sales Representative is responsible for developing the Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair markets by building brand awareness, generating new business, and cultivating relationships with customers and strategic partners. This role manages the sales process from opportunity development through project completion while serving as a key point of coordination across sales, operations, vendors, and local permitting or regulatory contacts. Working closely with the Sales Director, divisional sales managers, and the General Manager, the Sales Representative builds and tracks estimates, manages the sales pipeline, supports market-development initiatives, and represents Marine Specialties at partner events and local boat shows. Self-starter with strong initiative and market-development skills Relationship building and customer-first mindset Clear, professional communication and negotiation skills Organization, follow-through, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Project coordination and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities Key Responsibilities New Market Development Develop new lake market territories for Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair. Build a network of contacts that includes realtors, home builders, developers, builder associations, marinas, HOAs, and boat dealers. Partner with management to develop sales programs for key partnership groups with the goal of increasing Marine Specialties market share. Conduct market diligence and track existing competitors and new market entrants. Develop brand awareness and maintain strong customer and partner relationships. Build, deliver, and track customer sales estimates in the CRM. Maintain visibility into active sales calls, the sales pipeline, and marketing initiatives through a weekly standing meeting with the Sales Director. Project Coordination Serve as project lead for sales in the assigned markets from sale origination through project completion. Coordinate with divisional sales managers in Gainesville and the General Manager regarding labor and operational requirements. Manage scheduling and timing with third-party vendors and coordinate permitting requirements with counties and lake regulators. Events & Market Presence Attend partner events and participate in local boat shows. Travel to client meetings, market activities, and industry events as needed. Qualifications High school diploma required. 2-5 years of sales experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Proven track record of developing brand awareness and building customer and partner relationships. General construction operations experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Experience in outdoor-environment sales, service or repair sales, project management, customer service, or transportation/field staff management is preferred. Education or experience in safety/OSHA guidelines and quality control is a plus. Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR. DOT physical card required, with ability to maintain required renewals. Work Setting Field-based sales role supporting the Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair markets. Regular travel to client meetings, partner locations, project sites, and industry events. Frequent coordination with internal teams, third-party vendors, counties and lake regulators. Participation in local boat shows and other community or partner events. Occasional extended hours or Saturday work as needed.
