Title Provider Support Specialist Location Charleston Office - Charleston, WV 25311 Job Type Full Time; Day shift Salary $17.83 - $18.82 Program CCR&R FLSA Status Non‑Exempt Worksite TBD Reports to Supervisor Position Summary Provide technical assistance and support to providers in relation to processing payments. Essential Functions Process provider payments. Perform administrative tasks related to supporting providers in the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) region. Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Marginal Functions Participate in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement activities. Train or provide technical assistance to providers on the payment process and enrollment/orientation to the child care system. Compile and submit reports within established timelines. Respond to any inquiries within a timely manner. Participate in all required committees, conferences, meetings and training relevant to the program and/or agency. Any other duties as assigned. Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge Abide by all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to the program and relevant grants. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Utilize technology to enter, retrieve, and process information and communicate electronically. Education Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in communications, statistics, business, public relations, human relations, technology, or a related field. Experience Preferred: Experience in data entry. Employment Conditions Successfully clear the background check process, which may include criminal background check, education verification, references, drug testing, motor vehicle records, sex offender registry, Child Protective Services check, and federal grants debarred list. Adhere to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethics. Environmental Conditions Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to temperature changes at least fifty percent (50%) of the time. Prolonged sitting at a desk, viewing a computer screen and keyboard typing. Frequent face‑to‑face, electronic, and virtual interactions with internal and external customers. Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions. Public contact position requiring appropriate business casual apparel. May be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week following a successful 90‑day review. Physical Demands Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
