JOB SUMMARY  

Operating within a collaborative co-leadership model, the Program Manager – Strategic Partnerships & Recruitment leads site-wide candidate recruitment, pipeline development, marketing, and signature public-facing events. Working alongside the Senior Program Manager and a peer Program Manager, this role focuses specifically on building community partnerships that drive a diverse, competitive pool of Ally applicants and supporting initial outreach for Partner Organization (PO) leads. This position manages the full candidate selection journey, coordinates regional communications, recruits and directs event-day volunteers, and leads the planning for hallmark community events like Meet the Allies, Presentations of Learning, and Graduation—all while providing direct coaching support to a cohort of Allies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY OUTCOMES

Ally Recruitment, Selection & Pipeline Building

• Design, lead, and execute the full Ally recruitment and selection process to secure a strong, diverse cohort of applicants each program year. 
• Build and cultivate strategic community partnerships with colleges, grassroots organizations, trade programs, and local networks to expand candidate pipelines. 
• Oversee candidate intake, application review, screening interviews, background check processes, and selection orientation. 
• Utilize diverse recruitment tactics, including grassroots/on-the-ground recruitment, relationship building, digital campaigns, and partner referral campaigns.

Marketing, Communications & Community Outreach

• Manage local digital media and marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Public Allies National Office (PANO) Marketing team. 
• Maintain an active and engaging social media presence throughout the year to support followers, applicants, and partners. 
• Support lead generation and initial outreach for the Partner Organization (PO) sales pipeline to assist with host site expansion. 

Program Signature Events, Volunteer & Community Engagement

• Plan, coordinate, and execute major public-facing site events (including Meet the Allies, Presentations of Learning, and Graduation), managing full lifecycle execution, venue logistics, vendors, and promotional efforts. 
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, and direct event-day volunteers to ensure seamless event logistics, guest engagement, and overall execution. 
• Serve as an active ambassador for Public Allies Cincinnati at networking opportunities, career fairs, community gatherings, and volunteer mobilization efforts. 

Ally Coaching & Co-Leadership

• Partner closely with the Senior Program Manager and co-leading Program Manager to align recruitment timelines, training schedules, and site priorities. 
• Provide 1-on-1 professional coaching and support for a designated group of up to ten (10) Allies, fostering skill growth, self-awareness, and personal development. 
• Maintain compliant member files, review time logs, and ensure timely completion of required paperwork for assigned Allies. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in talent recruitment, community outreach, partnership development, or marketing/event management. 
• Proven ability to plan and execute large public events and community gatherings. 
• Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of cultivating diverse networks and community partnerships. 
• Experience leveraging social media platforms and digital content for recruitment and audience engagement. 
• Strong commitment to and demonstrated capacity to act from Public Allies’ core values (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Focus on Assets, Integrity, Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Innovation). 
• Strong written, verbal, and public presentation skills. 
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment and events. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in talent acquisition, college recruiting, or grassroots community outreach. 
• Professional experience in marketing, digital communications, or social media campaign management. 
• Experience in volunteer recruitment, volunteer management, or community engagement coordination for large-scale events. 
• Experience with sales support, lead generation, or business development pipelines. 
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), social media scheduling tools, or CRM/applicant tracking systems. 
• Prior experience with AmeriCorps, Public Allies, or national service networks.

The salary for this role is $60,000. WORKING CONDITIONS 

The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. It may require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. It rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.

Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling, and grasping regularly. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. It requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.

The position is generally performed in an office environment. The noise level is generally low to quiet. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
