Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement
• Demonstrated understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and resource room strategies
• Strong communication and organizational skills for collaborating with staff and families
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Support middle school students with IEPs in a resource classroom
• Work closely with general education teachers to adapt curricula and implement accommodations
• Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation and records
• Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Communicate with families, ensuring consistent updates on student goals and achievements
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that nurtures academic and personal growth
