Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant at DN you will manage the day‑to‑day accounting of construction projects. Working collaboratively with our Operations team, you will own all accounting functions as it pertains to our construction projects. A successful individual in this role will be someone who develops strong relationships, both internally and externally, completes work thoroughly and timely, and upholds budgetary financials. Key Responsibilities Prepare, post and track the monthly requisitions to the owner Participate in project forecast updates – CTC/WIP – with Project Managers/Project Engineers Monitor/track any over/under billings and work with Project Manager and/or Project Engineer Monitor for any potential high‑risk projects and work with project management for plan/resolution Identify potential job exposures and write-offs Procure to Pay – be responsible for processing subcontractor requisitions Ensure the subcontractor is complying with terms and conditions of the contract (i.e. insurance, lien releases, waivers, billing procedures, CPR, etc.) Monitor and track the cash position of the projects Reconciliation with Project Managers/Project Engineers for project closeout Responsible for the understanding of owner contracts and subcontracts regarding payment terms and required documents Work closely with the Project Managers, Project Engineers and Superintendents on all facets of project accounting and administration. Manage cash collection for the project in conjunction with the Project Manager as well as prepare Cash Forecasts.
