Operations Coordinator

Position Summary Coordinate parking operations for MSU campus events Scheduling /directing staff, maintaining client/customer service satisfaction The Operations Coordinator ensures all positions are staffed as scheduled. Supervise and train staff on specific responsibilities. Coordinate staffing points for safe inbound/outbound event traffic Manage parkhub event payment system. Responsible for event set up, break down equipment and inventory. Promote customer relations Generation of reports related to event revenue and space utilization. Strong customer service skills Ability to work as a team with differing opinions and other points of view. Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness in a fast paced position. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate’s degree in a business-related field, criminal justice, or hospitality; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service, security, or event coordination; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated skills of leadership and communication, a well-developed sense of responsibility, sensitivity to individual differences, a positive self-concept, and an obvious interest and enthusiasm for working with students are desirable characteristics for professional, pre-professional and paraprofessional staff members.
