Key Responsibilities

• Perform first assist duties in the operating room under the direction of the surgical team
• Utilize perioperative nursing skills within an 8-bed surgical unit
• Document patient care activities using the facility's electronic health record system
• Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs are facility-provided
• Participate in holiday scheduling rotations as required, including coverage during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year blocks
• Complete an 8-hour non-billable orientation period at the start of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current, relevant experience as an RN First Assist
• BSN required
• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) certification required
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• Operating Room / First Assist Skills Checklist current within the past year required at submission
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Candidate must have personal reliable transportation
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a perioperative or surgical setting
