About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP & Practice Leader for Retiree Healthcare. This executive will be responsible for P&L leadership, setting and executing market strategies, driving growth, and leading sales and marketing initiatives within the retiree healthcare segment. The role involves shaping carrier and product strategy, particularly in the areas of Group Medicare Advantage, Part D EGWP, and Group Medicare Supplement. The successful candidate will be a key market-facing leader, building and deepening relationships with plan sponsors, union funds, public sector clients, and broker partners. This is a player-coach position, requiring the ability to lead by example in the market while also building and managing a high-performance team. Candidates for this role should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in employee benefits, with at least 5 years focused on retiree healthcare. Executive qualifications include the ability to lead and develop sales and marketing teams, a deep understanding of the labor union and/or public sector benefits market, and strong carrier relationship management experience. The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with key stakeholders in the retiree healthcare market and a familiarity with the Medicare regulatory landscape. Core competencies required for the role include strategic market leadership, P&L ownership, business discipline, and executive influence. The role demands an individual with excellent communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
