About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our client's team in the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices , along with expertise in AWS cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and ForgeRock .

The developer will work closely with business, architecture, security, and engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance applications. Experience leveraging AI tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications .
• Develop and maintain Spring Boot-based Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services .
• Work with AWS EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and EKS .
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads using Kubernetes .
• Work with ForgeRock technologies for identity, authentication, authorization, and access management solutions.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development and coding best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders.
• Support application deployment, production troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the SDLC for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development productivity.
• Stay current with emerging Java, cloud, DevOps, security, and AI technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java development .
• Strong experience with Spring Boot .
• Experience developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services , including:
• • EC2
  • Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • S3
  • EKS
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
• Experience with ForgeRock / ForgeRock Identity Platform.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts is preferred.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience using AI tools to improve software development processes .
