Lakeview Nursery @ Hoadley’s Wholesale is a full-service nursery focused on helping customers find the right plants for their homes and landscapes. We pride ourselves on knowledgeable service, a hands-on environment, and maintaining a well-organized, healthy inventory.

This is a seasonal position starting mid April and ending November 1st with some part time work available out of season.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Front-End Nursery Associate to support daily operations and assist customers in selecting plants and landscape materials. This is a physically active, fast-paced role that requires initiative, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on customer service, including helping customers select plants and products for their landscaping needs

Operate point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately

Answer phones and assist with customer inquiries

Document sales and transactions using QuickBooks

Communicate effectively with the owner regarding customer needs and operations

Maintain nursery appearance through watering, weeding, organizing, and general upkeep

Tag and price inventory accurately

Support overall day-to-day operations to keep the nursery running smoothly

Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Basic computer skills (QuickBooks experience a plus, but not required)

Interest in plants, gardening, or landscaping preferred but not required

Schedule:

Must be available some Saturdays

Flexible weekday hours available

Compensation:

$20-$26/hour based on experience
