Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development Services , the Housing Manager will provide dedicated leadership and strategic focus for affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, housing preservation, and state and federal grant programs. The City seeks a collaborative, strategic, and politically astute housing professional with experience administering affordable housing and community development programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of California housing law, affordable housing finance, and state and federal programs, including CDBG, HOME, CalHome, PLHA, and related grant programs. They will be an effective communicator who builds productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be solutions-oriented, customer-focused, and skilled at balancing state housing mandates with community priorities. Candidates will have five (5) years of experience in housing programs, community development, affordable housing finance, or a closely related field, including two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, and a bachelor's degree.
