Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description The Labor & Delivery unit provides comprehensive obstetric care for patients who are 20+ weeks pregnant and up to 6 weeks postpartum. Our state-of-the-art facility includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage unit, OB ORs, and an OB PACU, designed for comfort and family-centered care.

Responsibilities Provide nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs with active fetal monitoring techniques. Assist in labor management and provide guidance to families throughout the birthing process. Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Circulate during C-sections and assist with other surgical procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience is required. Must possess active Maryland/Compact RN license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM preferred (or AWHONN Intermediate accepted but must obtain C-EFM if contract extensions exceed 1 year). OB Triage experience is required.
