Description Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacotherapy for the Ambulatory Clinic at St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift - Monday - Friday from 8:30am-5pm The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice thru handling appointments, gathering and documentation of patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers. This role provides expertise in prior authorizations as applicable and may administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. Within 2 years of hire: National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire as applicable. 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB or 2 years of pharmacy technician experience if without national certification. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians). 1 year Customer Service experience. Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
