District Photo is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Buyer for a short-term temporary position to support our Procurement and Supply Chain team during our busy 4th quarter Peak Season. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment while gaining exposure to sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and supplier partnerships.

Essential Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials and other      assigned purchases.
• Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Expedite critical orders to support production and operational requirements.
• Coordinate shipment tracking and logistics activities with carriers and freight providers.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and documentation requirements.
• Support new business partner implementation activities and supply chain initiatives.
• Maintain procurement data, reports, and system records.
• Assist with import, tariff, shipping, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare reports and conduct basic purchasing and inventory analysis.
• Provide general administrative support for procurement and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to help ensure uninterrupted business operations during peak production periods.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with ERP or purchasing systems preferred.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or production environment experience is a plus.
