Communicates patient care issues with cross-departmental leadership and develops a plan for resolution of conflict or revision of present process./liliAssists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the designated Labs, including preparation of sterile field, inventory resources and medication management to include contrast media./liliAttends at least 90 percent of staff meetings. Performs job evaluations for specific staff members within established time frames./liliAssists in policy development and meeting all JCAHO standards. Successfully completes 100 percent of annual hospital and department competencies./liliDemonstrates evidence of self-development activities (beyond orientation) and attendance to in-services/seminars related to field./li/ulpAdditional Requirements:/pulliCertification - Basic Life Support from AHA Upon Start; Must have one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiologist (RCES), RTRCV, RTRVI, RTRCI unless a graduate of nursing/liliLicensure - If does not possess one of the above registries, then must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse Upon Start/liliExperience - Five years of experience in one of the following: Cath or EP Lab, interventional radiology, critical care, or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit/liliEducation - Other Radiologic Technology Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience./li/ulpAbout Us:/ppWe are Inova, Northern Virginias leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
