Gallery Host/Front Desk
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a guest-focused, friendly, outgoing individual to greet and assist guests as our Gallery Host/Front Desk.
Job Requirements:
- Check-in/Check-out hotel guests
- Process all payments according to established hotel requirements
- Provide information and assistance to all guests and vendors
- Prepares all necessary reports during each shift for the management team
- Follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
- Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Ensure gallery remains well-stocked at all times Receiving food and beverage orders as needed
- Prepare and plate all food items on the menu
- Cleaning and sanitizing countertops and floors after each shift
- Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption in order to avoid severe intoxication
Job Qualifications:
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
- In person customer service experience a must
- Ability to use hot food preparation machines such as, but not limited to, oven, stove, and microwave to cook or heat food items
- Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
