RN - Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Days)

Position Details:

• Location: Mease Dunedin Hospital, 601 Main St., Dunedin, FL 34698
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Procedural RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires at two years of RN experience with a strong preference for at least 1 year of RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service. Procedural experience is preferred. Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred for consideration.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
• Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in any setting. Licensed RN and completion of all Clinical Nurse requirements.
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
