Senior Systems Engineer

The Work Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems in Moorestown, New Jersey is seeking a full‑time Systems Engineer. The role involves defining mission‑critical requirements, developing windows and user interfaces for military personnel, and integrating new capabilities into the Aegis Combat System. The successful candidate will have experience with Java, C++, or Python and Linux/UNIX operating systems, requirement development, user‑interface development, and issue investigation. Must be a U.S. Citizen; the position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years professional experience. Expertise in performing analysis and code inspections in Java, C++, or Python to troubleshoot software issues. Expertise with Linux/UNIX operating systems. Expertise in requirements development. Expertise with Model‑Based Engineering tools and methodologies such as SysML, Rhapsody, or Cameo. Expertise with issue investigation and defect correction. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. Desired Skills Expertise in Agile product development methodology. Experience with test automation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills that support successful work in a collaborative team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level: SECRET. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 – $181,113.
