We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join an exceptional healthcare team in Wisconsin. This position offers a unique opportunity to handle specialized pharmacy operations, including chemotherapy compounding and sterile IV admixtures, while working within a highly collaborative and supportive environment. This .8 FTE role provides a dynamic schedule with competitive shift differentials and the opportunity to serve as a mentor to peers.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Handle special projects including chemotherapy compounding

• Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV admixtures, IV piggybacks, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions, while adhering to USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards

• Assist with medication distribution by processing medication orders, filling stock requests, and maintaining emergency and transport medication kits

• Provide frontline support by answering incoming calls and assisting customers at the pharmacy service area

• Return medications to inventory and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed

• Monitor medication inventory levels, including controlled substances, and assist with replenishment activities

• Serve as a mentor and resource for pharmacy technicians, including those developing compounding skills

• Support the onboarding and training of newly hired pharmacy staff

• Complete additional assignments, special projects, or leadership-directed responsibilities as needed, following required training and competency validation

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• Required: Previous Pharmacy Technician experience

• Required: Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License

• Required: PTCB Certification as a Pharmacy Technician within 6 months of tenure

• Preferred: Prior sterile compounding experience

• Preferred: PTCB Certification active at the time of hire

Schedule/ Shift:

• FTE: .8 FTE status

• Shift Breakdown: Varied shifts consisting of mostly days, with only 1-5 PM shifts per 4-week period. Overnight shifts are very rare due to a dedicated overnight team.

• Day Shift Hours: 5:30am - 2:00pm | 6:00am - 2:30pm | 7:00am - 3:30pm

• PM Shifts (+$1.00 Differential): 1:00pm - 9:00pm | 2:00pm - 10:00pm

• Night Shift (+$1.50 Differential): 7:00pm - 5:00am | 9:00pm - 7:00am

• Chemo Compounding Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm
