Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary learners for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in-person full-time (33.75 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM) with a single-site assignment focused on students in a specialized communication and sensory support program. Your expertise will shape individualized treatment that helps students build essential communication and functional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with diverse needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals targeting communication development.
• Deliver direct therapy services per students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, occupational therapists, school psychologists, and families.
• Document evaluations, therapy progress, and session notes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning sessions.
• Employ evidence-based intervention strategies, especially for students with autism spectrum disorders and complex needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement (required).
• Previous experience in school-based roles, strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated background with students facing moderate to significant communication, sensory, and social-emotional needs, including autism spectrum disorders.
• Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills.

This opportunity involves working primarily with the STARS Program caseload—students requiring specialized support for communication, sensory, and academic functions.
