(USA) Merchandising Lead

Overview Position Summary and responsibilities related to member service, supervision of associates, merchandise and safety, and adherence to company policies and Open Door Policy. Responsibilities Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding use of self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services. Assist management with supervising associates: assign duties, communicate goals and feedback, train on processes, give direction on member service approaches, and resolve member complaints per company guidelines. Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organize and maintain the sales floor; complete paperwork and logs per policies and procedures. Maintain facility safety per policies; conduct safety sweeps; follow forklift, handling, and hazardous materials procedures; report unsafe situations to management. Ensure sales floor and merchandise presentation, handle claims and returns, zone areas, stock, arrange and organize merchandise, set up displays, and price according to policy; identify shrink and damages and secure fragile/high-shrink items. Monitor product quality, rotation, dating, recalls, and sanitation; ensure proper zoning, stocking, cleaning across all departments. Oversee club pick-up orders; ensure products are selected and staged according to policy and procedures. Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze information and identify improvement opportunities. Demonstrate and promote compliance with policies, procedures, and ethical standards; explain and apply these in business processes; assist management in addressing ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, providing guidance and feedback, and modeling adaptability to change. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed; multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Leading a team and supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload of others.
