Staff RN - Medical Surgical

The Staff RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical setting. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and supervising co-workers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient based on the nursing process.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families from admission through discharge.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders.
• Document patient care thoroughly, concisely, and legibly, reporting significant changes to physicians.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Nursing Assistants and support staff in accordance with policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Ohio nursing license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Have prior registered nursing experience preferred.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
