Job Title: Senior Tax Manager, CPA
Department: Tax
Location: Remote or Hybrid
Qualifications
- 7+ years of public accounting experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in partnerships, high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate tax, pass‑through entities, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and/or financial planning
- Ability to prepare working trial balances and year‑end adjusting entries
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- A CPA certification is required
- Strong technical expertise in tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and CCH Axcess
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, fostering client and staff relationships
Responsibilities
- Review high‑net‑worth individual, partnership, gift and estate, trust, joint venture, and non‑corporate entity tax returns, as well as combined state tax returns and tax compliance
- Handle complex individual tax returns
- Manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients
- Collaborate with tax partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities
- Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
- Provide advisory services, making recommendations on business and process improvements
- Supervise and drive the success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation
- Prepare year‑end projections
- Research various tax issues
- Mentor associates and guide them on tax matters
- Maintain presentation skills (oral and written)
Compensation
Annual salary target: $115,000 - $185,000, determined based on market demand, education, experience, and skill set.
