Job Description
\nThe University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a dedicated Transplant Hepatologist to join our academic department committed to advancing gastroenterology and hepatology through cutting-edge technology, collaborative research, and outstanding patient care.
\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a tertiary care setting while actively contributing to medical student, resident, and fellow education, clinical research, and multidisciplinary patient care. The ideal candidate will join a supportive, collegial department that values clinical excellence, innovation, education, and work-life balance, with the resources and flexibility to support both professional growth and personal well-being.

Key Position Highlights:
\n- \n
- Manage all aspects of liver disease. Essential functions include upper endoscopy procedure, colonoscopy, liver biopsies, as well as patient visits in the outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultative services \n
- Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students \n
- Engage in clinical or basic science research \n
- Gastroenterology team comprised of 15 Gastroenterologists, 6 Transplant Hepatologists, 3 IBD Faculty and 22 APPs \n
- 12 Endoscopy suites - and planning for additional rooms with current expansion \n
- Participate in educational conferences \n

Required Qualifications

- MD, DO or equivalent \n
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology \n
