Research Recruitment Student Associate

Job Overview The Preston Memory Lab in the Department of Neuroscience is hiring a Research Recruitment Student Associate to assist in participant recruitment for behavioral and neuroimaging studies. The role supports outreach, screening, enrollment, and maintains ethical standards and data integrity. Responsibilities Strategic management of participant recruitment: oversee use of shared participant databases, assess enrollment needs, and reserve records of eligible volunteers. Log all database activity and maintain comprehensive recruitment records. Use software tools to execute targeted mass‑email campaigns and track enrollment metrics. Communicate with participants and parents via email, phone, and in‑person visits. Conduct phone screenings to verify MRI safety and eligibility. Create and distribute promotional materials in print and social media channels. Serve as liaison with the Children’s Research Center and coordinate outreach events. Qualifications Strong organizational and time‑management skills to schedule multiple studies concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication with families and researchers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team of PhD students and postdocs. Responsive to emails during weekdays and available evenings/weekends for outreach. Minimum one‑year commitment. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in administrative, customer‑service, or communications roles. Experience with database management or tools such as RedCap and Qualtrics. Advanced Excel skills. Compensation & Conditions Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour. Work Schedule: 20 hours per week, flexible to allow evening and weekend work for outreach events. Working Conditions: Standard office environment with repetitive keyboard use.
