Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel M/S Tele RN Nights & EOW - 36hrs MUST BE ABLE TO READ TELE STRIPS Unit Name: Phippen 6/7.Brief Unit Description: Phippen 6/7 is a 32 Bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg Unit. This is a private unit admitting all other medical overflows. Years of Experience Required: minimum of 2 years working in one location; and 2 years working as a Traveler.Census: 32 Total Beds. 16 beds in Phippen 6 and 16 beds in Phippen 7. Floating Required: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when requested.Rotating Shifts Required: Day Rotators may be rotated between (7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a) shifts when needed. Night positions do not rotate. Rotation frequency: low.Skill Sets Required: Med/Surg RN with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency; ability to interpret Tele Strips.Clinician to Patient Ratio: Day and Eve shifts are 1:4, may go up to 5. Night shift is 1:5 or 6.Patient Population: Scheduled elective Orthopedic and Neuro/Surg patients, Fractures, Neuro patients and all other medical patients overflow. Bed Count: 32 beds.
